Everybody wants low body fat/abs. Including me. This post isn’t gonna be preaching about why those desires are stupid, because I feel that’s short-sighted. ⠀ We could also talk about the very real physiological aspects of low body fat—lower testosterone, less energy, mood swings, weaker, feeling smaller in clothes, increased hunger, poor sex drive, etc.—but that shit can get boring and you’ll still wanna get shredded anyway. ⠀ Instead, think critically for a second about actually being shredded ... got it? K, cool, you’re shredded now. Congrats! ⠀ Now what? ⠀ Sure, you can post a few pics on social media, show off at the beach, or brag to your friends about how hard you sacrificed to get this body. ⠀ But seriously, what value will it ultimately end up adding to your life? ⠀ To cut to the chase: the grass is always greener, my friends. If you wanna get shredded/lean/abs—that’s awesome, seriously. But do it because you want to prove to yourself you’re capable of doing something challenging, something you’ve never done before. Just please don’t expect some life-altering epiphany simply because you have abs now. You will be sadly disappointed (and hungry). ⠀ Aim for something higher instead.

Hi, I am 17-18M/178cm/86kg. Since Sep of last year till today. I have only focused on dieting and have lost 12kg. Minimum exercise, walking to poly (except raining), taking the staircase whenever possible. Using my CCA as an exercise time (Archery). Now, I would like to slim another 16kg during March-May. I have a holiday period of 6 weeks from 1st week of March to 2nd week of April, during which. I have the following schedule; Mon - CCA (7hr). Tue - Fri - Work (10hr, 8am - 7pm). Sat - CCA (7.5hr), Sun - Family time / personal exercise time (1 -2 hr). Any suggestion on workouts to burn more fats, increase stamina to upper body - shoulder/ chest, lower body, endurance (Push up[100-120 in 1 min, proper; arm close to the body style], running[2.4km under 9 min], sit up[100-120, proper]). Preferable without going to the gym. Home training/neighbourhood fitness corner/ running circuit (Macpherson/Paya Lebar/Aljunied). Does vertical climbing(staircase) burn the same or more fats than normal running?

I’m 16M this year, my height is 177cm, weight fluctuates around 90kg. I have started to *try* and lose weight since a few months ago, but my weight seems to want to stay at 90kg. In terms of exercise, I do road cycling usually 2-3 times a week normally (not on holiday etc), while trying to maintain the same diet, which maintained my weight, as before I started exercising regularly. When I cycle I would usually do about at least 2 hours on the road, at 25-30kmh which i feel is enough if done 3 times a week ( correct me if this isnt enough) My breakfast usually is the 菜饭 (economy rice) in my school and my school has incorporated brown rice into all stalls to use, and I’m guilty of some kind of sweet drink to go with the rice. Lunch is usually also 菜饭 (economy rice), with plain water usually. Dinner is very less, or none at all, I do this to try and cut down on my calories. My water intake is very minimal, usually less than 1.5L a day. though i’m aiming for more. Is my weakness the sweet drinks I drink during recess almost every day? I feel this is holding me back from my weight goal of 75kg by Dec 2019. P.S. If anyone would like to cycle with me you can drop me a message, I will definitely be okay with that :)

I noticed quite a few requests of members asking people in the discussion for people of a certain age or gender to work out with. wouldn't it be easier to find an existing community near where you work or stay and then find common friends who like the same sports as you do ? Just my opinion in pursing the MAIN goal of fitness.
Alright so I went on my cheat day. Pretty epic stuff, ate a whole container of Cny snacks (those almond cookie stuff) and half container of that milky cookie stuff. Drank some milk, consumed ard like ALOT of calories ill say sumwhere 4k or 5k that day(didn't track) . I'll say this, that epic day was hella fire. In websites, its stated ull feel that sugar rush for 3 days and blablabla but well, not so long for me. After eating those Cny snackz, I was pretty bloated to say the least. Could no longer see those abs, felt a lil watery at dat mid section. Decided to hit the gym, did alot more cardio (cross rider and treadmill) than normal on top of my usual regiment in the gym. (1.5hr gym lol) After ard 3 hrs, not much bloating anymore and I was pretty amazed to say the least and best part, was still hungry and still went for a steamboat buffet. Checked my weight after that buffet only 0.5 kg gained and the next morning I was alr back to my normal physiquw and weight. Ok so conclusion for me, cheat days r ok and pretty cool. Haha. However, still don't understand how I didn't bloat for days or gain much weight after that cheat day. Can anyone explain Hahaha. Thanks!
