The first ever Carou-Shredders* online jam. *Cant think of a better name :P EDIT: And here is the outcome : D ... https://youtu.be/ZYs55jZMo4U ANY & ALL skill levels welcomed. Not a competition or to lord over who is best. The keyword here is to JAM and have FUN... bringing together ideas on how each will approach / interpret a song. Use whatever is in your bag of tricks! This is how it works 1) Record a solo a minute or less (guitar acoustic/electric, ukelele, mandolin, keyboards ... any stringed instrument) together with this https://youtu.be/93IVcKPCzq0 backing track**. Pick any spot in the song you want. The Intro, verse, ending... just for a minute or less. 2) If you're happy with it, email your recording to email@example.com by 15/Oct/2018; 2359 hrs. Only in MP3 format please & one take per user eh. Do Not Post Your Take On This Thread. 3) I'll put them together as a jam tune and post it on yootube or soudncloud for the world to hear (hopefully by the very next day). Your Carousell username will be mentioned when your take comes up. I'll figure out how this will turn out. 4) You send it over, I'll put it IN. No pressure.... Easy-peasy. Right? How hard can 100-bpm be? Lols! One last thing... Do keep in tune and stay to the beat. Makes my job horribly easier to 'glue' your takes together-lah. :P If you have questions, do post them in this thread. I'll (or some helpful random user!) be glad to help as best as I can. Thanks in advance to all. Fingers crossed this will take-off!! **EDIT: I think Phrygian for a start is asking too much la. So, I've changed the Backing Track to Blues at 100bpm >> https://youtu.be/93IVcKPCzq0 so its easier to jam over.
Post a link of your COVER TUNES / ORIGINALS here to showcase your skills. Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums, Vocals. A thread to share tips & tricks and constructive feedback. Who knows you may be the next star. Or if someone has a spot to fill in their band and you're just the right guy/gal for it. Sounds good? Get on it then. Oh! And be kind & supportive eh!
Hi all, I have just started learning acoustic guitar a few weeks ago. I find that it is hard to have a clear sound for chords as my fingers would always hit the other strings apart from the intended strings. May I know if this can be corrected by repetitive practice or are there other solutions to it?
Hi everybody! I live in Kim Seng road. Do we have any guitar club around here? I just received a guitar on my birthday but I don't know how to play. Anyone happy to show me the basic steps please? Nice to meet you here!

Anyone knows a good place to get these stuff at a good price? I'm mainly looking for push-pull pots/pickguards/pickups.
I'm getting my 1st electric guitar. (Had an Ibanez RG series years ago, but sold it cus my passion for music stopped.) I'm somewhat in-between an intermediate and beginner player. I have an acoustic that I play currently. Ok, straight to the point, via Swee Lee, Bullet is $199, Affinity is $299 and the Standard is $350. I want a guitar that'll last me a few years and won't regret. Also I'm on a budget. So best is below 300. Help me out thanks
