From 1871 to 1918, Germany was ruled by a Kaiser (English: king) who lorded over all others in his empire Banknotes issued during this period are very elaborately printed, as is the case with this 1,000 Reichsmark banknote issued by the Imperial Reichsbank at Berlin on April 21, 1910 What makes this banknote special is that its serial number is printed in black ink All other 1,000 reichsmark banknotes that I have come across are printed in red ink Condition as seen in photos - there is a fold through the banknote's centre (probably because it was too large to otherwise fit into a wallet) Still in relatively decent shape considering how it is 108 years old Banknote obverse depicts a spectacular engraving of the Reichsbank's obligations and the denomination "Ein Tausend Mark" (German: One Thousand Mark) Banknote reverse depicts allegorical female figures of agriculture and navigation Serial No: Nr 2777 630 B Ships for free to local destinations via Singpost normal mail at buyer's risk Will provide an oversized soft plastic banknote sleeve free of charge and for extra protection Registered mail available on request and at extra charge Payment via POSB/DBS Bank Transfer or PayPal Thanks for looking!
