In 1914, 1 American dollar bought you 4.2 German marks. In 1923, when this banknote was issued at the height of hyperinflation in Weimar Germany, 1 American dollar bought you 4.2 trillion marks. This banknote would have lost its value within a few months of being issued - see Picture 3 for a glimpse of how paper money was discarded on the streets (Photo Credits: Pinterest) Happily, these banknotes have become far more rarer 95 years after they were printed in Germany Banknote measures 160 x 110mm (6.3 by 3.7 inches) Condition as seen in photos - very good considering its age! Serial no: Q-FZ 301323 See Picture 4 for an idea of the prices paid back in 2001 (7 euros) for varieties of this banknote. Prices will surely have gone up in the 17 years since then! Ships in a soft plastic banknote sleeve free of charge and for extra protection Free normal mail to local addresses via Singpost delivery at buyer's risk Registered mail available on request and at extra charge. Payment via POSB/DBS Bank Transfer or PayPal. Thanks for looking!
