Killer example of a 2001 Les Paul Standard - a "real" Standard, before Gibson started screwing around with the specs and renaming it stuff like "classic" and "traditional". This one is plain Cherry top with some great figuring in the wood on the lower bout of the guitar. The top of the guitar is super. The neck is nice and fast - thinner '59 rounded C-shape - in great condition. Frets are in Excellent condition, too. Fingerboard wood has been "fed" with Dunlop's 02 Deep Conditioner, which does what it's supposed to do (though I think it has lightened the stain slightly). Pickups are 490R neck and 498T bridge. All electronics and hardware are untouched. Headstock is clean and totally ding-free. Grover tuners are rock-solid. There's a minor knock at the back of 3th fret area resulting in a small paint chip, and some light pick-marking around the scratchplate. Also visible is some light swirling in a couple of places from polishing. Back of the guitar has some light buckle rash. This guitar has the classic Les Paul howl and growl. Sustains like hell.  Related to that, it's weighty - just over 4.5kg. The weight has never bothered me, because it's got nice balance, but if you're looking for a lightweight heavily-chambered LP, move along because this ain't it. Includes the very sought after Gibson USA original case - tan with pink lining Combo lock has never been set, so you get to pick your numbers. Letting go as very seldom used. Custom and Standard plus gets more play. $2150 firm for quick sale. Thanks for looking
