2007, Year of the Boar, Singapore Mint 2nd series of uncirculated coin set. Please note that this piece does not come with the red envelope. Singapore Mint re-introduced the Chinese Almanac back to its uncirculated coin set. The card housing the coins also becomes bigger. This proved to be hugely popular. Every year, collectors will eagerly await the launch of the Hong Bao set with an animal representing that year. Starting in 2005, this feature remains until 2016 when Singapore Mint stop issuing the uncirculated coin set. Starting 2002, the 1-cent coin was withdrawn from circulation. Hence from 2003, the uncirculated coin set consists only of six coins from 5-cents to 5-dollars. This is the second series of coins minted by the Singapore Mint. It comprises of 5c - $5 coins (6 coins in total). The coins are housed in a red card holder that resemble the traditional HongBao (Red Packets). Hence, this became known as the HongBao Pack series. This series ended in 2013 when the 3rd series of coins was introduced. Specifications: The second series of circulation coins in uncirculated sets made its debut in 1986. Modelled after Singapore's image as a "Garden City", various local plants and flowers are featured on the reverse of the coins while the obverse bears a stylised version of the Singapore Arms.
