A large blue and white Qing dynasty temple jar complete with its original matching cover. Late Qianlong period (1735-1796). Both the jar itself as well as the lid are in perfect condition. No damage or repair. The design is one of scrolling vines and was a common motif during the Qing dynasty. The drawing is quite fine and the cobalt blue colour is nice and bright, hence the dating to late Qianlong or possibly early Jiaqing period. It is extremely unusual to find a Qianlong temple jar with its original matching cover, and also for both the jar as well as the cover to be in perfect condition. The jar with cover stands 18 inches tall. Collector downsizing, so only genuine items for sale. These items are part of my collection which I am deaccessioning. I will be listing items one by one as and when time permits. Enquiries from fellow collectors most welcome. Dealers will only be entertained with some reservation.
