Nessun Dorma is a 2016 Hong Kong psychological thriller film directed by Herman Yau and starring Andy Hui, Janice Man and Gordon Lam. The film is based on the novel of the same title by Erica Li and Zendodric, both of whom also served as the film's screenwriters. Nessub Dorma had its world premiere at the 40th Hong Kong International Film Festival on 22 March 2016 and was theatrically released in Hong Kong on 27 October. Synopsis: Janice Man (Helios) takes on her most daring role in the suspense thriller Nessun Dorma, the second collaboration between director Herman Yau and screenwriter Erica Li after the well-received Sara. Co-starring Gordon Lam (Trivisa) and singer Andy Hui, the film, which premiered at the 2016 Hong Kong International Film Festival, depicts the post-traumatic transformation of a woman and her relationships with her fiancé and the man she loves. Socialite Jasmine (Janice Man) is engaged to wealthy playboy Vincent (Gordon Lam), but secretly loves widowed school teacher Fong (Andy Hui). At a loss about her feelings and future, she visits Fong one rainy night in hopes of getting some answers about their relationship, but gets rejected. On her way home, Jasmine is attacked and loses consciousness. When she wakes up, she finds herself naked and locked up in a room.
