Hi I have yet to try out Caroupay and thought of trying it...Just 2 quick questions; as a seller, what happens if buyer has received the item but put up a false claim that he did not receive it? Does that mean every single mailing transaction has to be made via registered mail just so seller is able to provide proof of delivery (receipt) when being prompted by Carousell for evidence? Not every buyer will choose to go thru registered mail for the higher mailing cost but does that mean every seller has to go thru registered just to protect himself against buyers who put up false claims (of not receiving item)? And to safeguard myself (as a seller) with Caroupay, it is also better not to meet up (to hand over item to buyer) as buyer can always put up a claim that he did not receive item and there is no proof I can give that I have already handed it over? Hope someone can help me out with these else I will not dare use Caroupay..Thanks a lot.
In addition to the above comment I have listed, i dont believe photo or video proof is a solid enough evidence to proof that item (or the correct item) has been delivered...(buyer can put up a false claim that incorrect item was received and simply take a pic of something else to show along with the envelope) One more thing, read that Caroupay is able to insured up to $20 for lost mails..Does that mean if Caroupay dont insured, sellers have to pay? As there are more and more reported cases of lost mails via normal mailing, does that mean even with video proof/registered mail receipt evidences, seller will still be responsible for it and the payment held will be refunded to the buyer?
Where's my complimentary $5??
