My name is Nasreen Khan Abdullah and I am a graduate from SUSS, majoring in English with Psychology as a minor. I have 6 years of teaching experience under my belt and have taught students from 4 to 16 years old. Subjects that I’ve taught include English, Art and Speech and drama.
To me, there is no such thing as a “one size fits all approach” in learning. Each student is unique and I believe that tapping on their strengths is the best way to enhance their learning journeys.
I am well-aware of the challenges that students face in perfecting their written and spoken skills in the English language; and I’m here to provide coaching that will meet the necessary curriculum goals in their education.
I have always understood the significance and importance of the English language. Even more so, having lived in the U.S for 7 years, I realised how important it is to have a good command of English. I love the language so much that it drew me into the world of poetry. The passion that I have for the English language inspires me to write poetry on a regular basis and I am convinced that my passion will be a positively infectious energy for teaching my students.
On a personal note, my quest for self-discovery has encouraged me to take on the personality test which proved that I’m more of a right-brained individual. Perhaps, that explains why painting, writing and singing are hobbies that resonate with me very well.
I look forward to meeting all of you individually and help you hone your English language skills in the near future. Thank you.
