Today, I sold this pot of 3 sunflowers to a returned buyer. However, while waiting for buyer to turn up, I was looking at the pot and thought of a picture that was shared by a buyer. I felt "disturb" and felt the need and urge of sharing this message. We always buy pots to our likings - to fit a certain themes of theirs surroundings (colors, styles etc) or couldn't be bother to choose much (just buy standard ones la). Other than considering the materials, you may want to consider the shape of the pots and the root systems of the plants. The pic that was shared with me were a plant that was squeezed in a very tall, but very narrow nice looking (aka classy) vase. The first thing that came to my mind is feet-binding - like those poor women in olden days have to bind their feet in shoes size less than 3 (I don't know exactly what size but I know is ridiculously small). Can you imagine your poor plant trying to survive in that "home" ? Would you like it if you are squeezed in a very small tight space ? So think about it, do some research and understand your plants' root system before you make your next purchases ! Happy gardening ! Thanks for reading !
