These beautiful marine creatures are painted onto sustainable canvases made from recycled polyester, removing them from the waste system.
Painted by rural landowners in Indonesia using the traditional technique of drip painting, which takes a minimum of 8 hours to complete, these paintings provide an alternative source income for them.
Previously, such villagers conduct land clearing by burning, resulting in haze and excessive carbon emissions. Now, we aim for these paintings to be able to sustain their livelihood, by bringing their traditional art form to a greater audience.
