Hello guys, is me ghee. Those buyers who dealt with me before know me. I have too many things to bless and too many free things to give away. Today I am going to share with you something more valuable than all those 5000 over things listed in my carousell account. Today topic is about knowing yourself. It is very important to know yourself better before you embark into any career. I have spent over 20 years trying more than 30 jobs (different employers, engineering in manufacturing, IT engineer in big telco data comm, part time delivery man, interior designer, MLM, property agents, taxi uncle, corporate HR recruiter, banquet server waiter, carton boxes collector, old radio XO wine collector, etc etc, you name it, in my entire career life. And I got a Bachelor Degree. What a waste! My CV is super duper broken with gaps short terms employment, got fired, got retrenched. Any hiring managers who see my CV will send it straight to recycle bin. I don't want you all to follow my footsteps. Hence I feel the urgency to share with all students all fresh graduates, all parents etc. Hope you all can have the RIGHT START in your CAREER footstep. How much you know yourself? Are you suitable to do a sales career? There was once I went to a PI car dealer showroom to interview for a sales executive position. I hope to be like Joe Girard to sell cars like crazy and earn high commission. After the interview, the lady told me straight in my face: "You can only sell cars to Teachers and Engineers, our car showrooms here all exotic cars (Jag Maserati Bentley Porsche etc , sorry." i left the showroom feeling very sad and disappointed. So are you suitable to be a sales person? I told myself i never give up. After i worked for sometime, I save enough money for my family and then i enrolled myself to becoming a Salesperson in Real Estate. I took the exam and passed. I went to CBRE and then hop to Propnex and again after close to 3 years, i earned virtually nothing close to $500 per month. It was a very disappointed journey. again I do not give up so easily. There is nothing wrong with all of us. Just that we must know ourselves better ,know our strength our strong points and what are our weakness and where is the blindspot. If we are able to assess ourselves better, the chance of winning is 50%. The rest of 50% is what your teachers in school taught you the hard skills your parents taught you the moral your mentor taught you the soft skills and most important is you yourself - your own hardwork and determination. You need to have that conviction (close to addiction). A lot of people who is not successful in anything is boiled down to 2 points. 1. They don't know want what they want in life. (I classify those who work in big corporate world all are "successful" because this path of office politicking is what they wanted, although i strongly believe that some people will tell me this 2 words "no choice".) 2. They don't know themselves well. Below are more points that do not contribute to one's success in anything they want to do or are doing now. 3. Procrastinate (indecisive) 4. Obstinate (stubborn) 5. lazy (not motivated, and i cannot blame you because you don't know your motive in life yet) 6. lukewarm spirit (sometime you feel high, sometime you feel low morale - back to your usual self) 7. Strong ego 8. No mentors (actually have, just because of point 7, you don't want to approach them. Actually have.) 9. excuses. (you give yourself too many excuses not to do it, like going for a run to reduce weight, when you heard thunder, you will tell yourself oh, raining soon, run tomorrow. After 30 mins no rains. Also this 2 killing words : "NO CHOICE". Answer is No, we all have a CHOICE. Is not a question of can or cannot. The actual fact is whether you WANT or DON'T WANT.) 10. You are fine with where you are now (you DID NOT raise the standard). 11. the list can go on..(my parents don't allow me to do this. my girlfriend says high risk, i just got a new born hence no)... can you see all these are 'spider web' that prevent you from leaving where you are now. And because of these spider webs your created, you start blaming the government skillfuture fund only $500, blaming your age too old no one wants, blaming your parents for not giving you a good life. Long story short, to know yourself there are many ways. For those who already in working world, they know about DISC, MBTI, Enneagram etc. All these are tools are used to understand your personality types. So that your HR your boss know who are you whether you can be hired to do this sales job or not. After taking this test, they interview you and after you go home and wait long long and how come no reply and in the end you settle with other part time jobs to do grab driver and or receptionist, etc.. Go to any insurance firm to interview for a Financial Adviser Position, they will send you to take these test. Now my service to you is more or less the same. I can straight away tell you your personality type by your date of birth. I will give you some pointers so you can brainstorm before you decide which industry you like to embark. Even now you got a Law Degree, you have A CHOICE to do a Sales Career. Life is about 2 things: 1. Know yourself. (Help yourself first before helping others) 2. Know what you want. I can help you with point 1. $5 please :) (message me your DOB and email ID) after you got your profile type you can paylah or paynow me. Point 2 i cannot help you. But i know any jobs any businesses related to helping people (meeting their needs) is VERY enriching.
