Maths & Science (Chemistry/Physics) Home Tutor

Since 2014, I have been providing private tuition to students of various levels (secondary 1 to J2) and streams (express, NA, NT, H2, H1). To fulfil my passion as an educator, I had applied and completed an internship under MOE, as a math and science secondary teacher. 👩🏻‍🏫 During my internship, I was tasked to conduct A/E math and science lessons to secondary 1 and 3 students. My experience as an MOE intern teacher and multiple years of tutoring have given me the opportunity to be familiar with the current syllabus. I’ve also worked at YMCA De La Salle School (Primary school) as an associate teacher for a few years and have experience working with primary school students. I’m currently providing A/E math tuition to 4 secondary 3 students, and I’ve been tutoring one of them since secondary 1! 😊 In my 5+ years of experience, I have tutored at least 4 secondary 3 students, and three of them have moved up to JC (as the 4th student was from the NT stream). I’m also currently providing tuition to a primary 4 boy, secondary 1 NA girl, secondary 2 express girl, secondary 4 ‘O’ level girl and one university male. I’ve obtained A1 for both A/E Mathematics and A for H2 mathematics & .Chemistry. I prefer to guide my students to the answers instead of providing them with the answers immediately. Ensuring that the student understands the concept before moving on is important, and thus I would prefer to ask my student about their thought process and will welcome questions from the student too! 💪 As I’ve been providing tuition for many years, I’m able to identify potential and useful questions for exams and believe in being patient yet strict.
