Selling an excellent condition NICCA IIIs LTM body with an excellent condition Nippon Kogaku 5cm F2 LTM. For those unfamiliar with these items, they are the precursor to the brand known as Nikon. The IIIs body works perfectly. RF patch is clear with good contrast, the viewfinder too is bright and clear. There's a slight ruffle on the curtain that doesn't affect any of the shutter speeds, which in turn seem to be as snappy as can be. Some dirt marks on body but no dings, dents, or scratches. Bottom plate has some bright lines. No peeling covering across the body. The 5cm F2 lens of the famed Sonnar design is also in excellent condition. Little to no bright marks on the barrel, glass is clean and clear but might have some dust. No haze or cleaning marks or fungus. Focusing is smooth and evenly-dampened even in the non-coupled close focus range. Aperture blades are clean with no oil stains; some marks present from regular use. Comes with the very well-made NICCA clamp-on hood, which will also sit around a 40.5mm filter should you get one. But why buy a filter when I'm including a Walz Nikkor UV filter? Not the generic Walz one: this comes inscribed with the "NIKKOR" letters on the edge. Also comes with the original NICCA front lens cap. The last pic is of the original Nippon Kogaku 5cm F2 conical clamp-in hood on the lens. I'm selling it for an additional $200 (firm) to the buyer of this set, but not separately. It looks and feels just like the conical hood for the 5cm F1.4, but fits a slightly smaller diameter, and a lot harder to find. Selling because the loan sharks are throwing paint on my door. Just kidding la. I'm making room for more stuff, even though I love all the 50mm lenses out there, and this combo right here has easily one of the best glass of any copy for sale.
