Also known as Peacock Ginger and Resurrection Lily, Kaempferia pulchra is a member of the Zingiberaceae family. Famed for its beautiful foliage displaying alternating bands of grey and olive green to bronze, it is the parent plant for many of the most popular Kaempferia hybrids. This ginger also blooms showy mauve-violet flowers with a center white spot. Kaempferia pulchra is a native of South-east Asia and grows well with bright indirect light. Its broad elliptic variegated leaves stem from small underground rhizomes. This beautiful ginger is ideal for cultivation in environment without direct sunlight or luxury of space.
