Phra Khrow Eito goes by another name - Phra Rod Mueng Tai. According to historical records, Phra Khrow Eito was created by Somdej Pra Si Som Pod and Nai Tong Dung. Many people respected Somdej Pra Si Som Pod, addressing him as Phra Khrow Eito. In BE2310, he fought with the Burmese and escaped with a female companion. He placed an “Eito” (knife) in between them when they were sleeping on the same bed. No one believed that a man and a woman could sleep together without anything happening. To prove their purity, he threw the “Eito” into the river and told his critics that the “Eito” would not sink due to the truth of his words. And amazingly - the “Eito” indeed floated instead of sinking! Due to this miraculous event, people believed in him and respected him even more. I believe most of us have heard of something like this: this is an antique amulet which so and so passed down to me. However, is it really true? Or mostly wishful thinking? An authentic and beautiful piece of amulet is always not easy to obtain – beside money, affinity is important as well. The above piece shown is in a tip-top condition; with sharp and well-defined features. We are really glad to be able to get hold of such a beautiful piece. It is not easy to come across an amulet that has been so well preserved for more than 100 years. Due to its authenticity and beauty, it was awarded 3rd prize in a major amulet competition organized by the widely recognized "Sammakom" organization. The buyer will also get an additional "Certificate of Authenticity" by “Sammakom”. Both certificates ensure that you are getting not only a beautiful but also genuine amulet - guaranteed. * This batch of amulets is highly recommended for collectors who prefer antique amulets consecrated by old-time guru masters. * The Certificate of Authenticity and Competition Certificate are ready on hand. The former comes with a beautiful hardcover folder. Rest assured that you will get the certificates together with the amulet at the same time. Do you really need a certificate? There is no doubt that purchasing an amulet which comes with a certificate makes one feel more comfortable. It may also provide a higher resale value should the owner decide to let it go in the future. However, nothing in the world is for free. The service fees for sending an amulet for verification or competition (which does not guarantee a placing) can go up to $60.00 per piece. There will be some risk involved whenever an amulet is submitted for verification or competition. Amulets have been known to be misplaced or damaged during the process. Furthermore, one should also take into consideration the expenses and time involved. We understand the concern about fake certificates flooding the market. To give our customers peace of mind, if our certificates are found to be fake, we will refund twice the amount paid. Therefore, buyers can be totally reassured of the authenticity of our amulets. Dealers using "Photoshop" or other photo editing software Have you ever come across or heard of dealers using "Photoshop" or other photo editing software to make their products look more impressive? Some photos have been touched up to the extent that they look very different from the original piece. We are collectors too and we understand the disappointment upon seeing the amulet in person. Many buyers have told us we are lousy photographers - our amulets look much better than our photos! Hence, we welcome any serious buyers to meet. Feel free to take a look at our amulets on hand before deciding. *** For more amulets please visit: http://thaitempleamulets.blogspot.sg *** Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Thaitempleamulets-227544144104617 *** Due to work commitments, I apologise in advance for being unable to reply all private msgs.
