Very pretty pair of vintage Sadler teapot, with sweet pink ditsy roses and ' trellis ' patterns, on a cream base.
This model of Sadler teapots is not uncommon, but they don't always come in condition this good. Both teapots are without chips, cracks or crazing, with very clean interiors that appear un-used. The minor faults they have being a tiny crack which appears to be a production imperfection on the interior rim of the smaller teapot (see last photo), and very tiny bit of gilt wear on the larger teapot. Both are hardly noticeable unless scrutinised very closely.
All measurements approximate:
Larger teapot, 6-cup full size pot, 22cm from spout to handle, 15cm height to the tip of the finial.
Smaller teapot, 2 to 3-cup personal teapot, for 1 to 2 person use. 16cm spout to handle, 10cm height to the tip of the finial.
