Found this childhood Kalkitos Batman Transfer! Unused Nostalgia!
Kalkitos was an art based leisure magazine for children. It was created by The Gillette Company's paper division. Hugely popular in Europe, South East Asia and Central America, they comprised of a printed cardboard scene devoid of people, cars, etc. and a transparent sheet of coloured transfers containing people, vehicles, weapons, explosions or animals.
These could then be applied on to the empty scene through a process called chromolithography. this was accomplished by rubbing the back of the transparent plastic holding material with a soft pencil. Clever part application of transfers could result in a character with an arrow sticking out of his head or people dismembered by explosions. Kalkitos often appeared in conjunction with commercial tie-ins such as Star Wars or Scooby Doo.
