- IWC Calibre 62 -
The cal 62 was more or less a smaller IWC cal 83, which along with the later cal. 88 were IWC's primary wristwatch movement with a seconds sub-dial. The total number of cal. 62 movements produced from 1938 through 1949 was 13,800 pieces, which is a very small production number compared to the other calibers made by IWC. It is rare to come across a cal 62 these days, compared to the more common 83s and 88s. Like the cal 89, the 62 is a good and sturdy construction and crafted very well.
This is a highly collectible piece in good overall condition with a beautifully aged patina (almost NOS), lovely tear-drop lugs, and keeping time well.
