Topic Of The Day: Ways To Help Animal Shelters
Hello everyone, it's been awhile i share with you guys regarding our lovely animals. As you can read from the topic above, i'm sure some of you guys are wondering how do we help animal shelters. There are many ways YOU can do to help. Before i come to that, here are some information i would like to share with you. Did you know that some animal shelters will have to put their local pets down but the reason why they do so it's because of us? As years goes by, there is an increase of animals being brought to the local shelters. Some owners could no longer care for them, overbreeding of pets and etc. So back to my topic, here are some ways you can do other than adoption ! Ways to help animals shelters: • DONATE: every cent counts and you make a difference to the society. You are not only donating but shelters can take in more animals with your help. They can also get more supplies for them too. You can also donate food, or any supplies they need. • VOLUNTEER: you can give a call to any local shelters for more enquiries ! Animal shelters needs your help with taking care of them since there are hundereds of animals staying in one shelter. You can also email or search any local animal shelters on Google if unsure. • ADOPTION: if you are an animal lover, you can always help out by adopting local pets in animal shelters that are sterilised to prevent overbreeding (some). Before that, remember to think twice because taking care of one requires alot of time, money and most importantly, you must commit to your pet at all times. If you are below 18, you can always seek from your parents permission before doing so. This is a long term commitment alright. Just by adopting, you are saving one's life and you gave them a second chance to live and be happy. Not only that, there will be more space for new animals being brought in for the animal shelter to take care of. For more ways, you can always do a self-research. Please adopt and don't shop. By buying, some owners will no longer want them whereas overbreeding by accident and more will be brought into local animal shelters. We should play a part to be more responsible too by strelising your pets to prevent unwanted breeding. Anway, have you ever wondered where did these animals in your local pet stores come from? These animals that you purchase are actually breeded so that they can earn money. By supporting animals being sold at your local pet shops, you are supporting animal breeding. I know it's rare for small animals to be in local animal shelters but the least you can do is be responsible. I've been seeing cats, dogs and even small pets like hamsters and etc being sold which shows how irresponsible you are. This doesn't help to reduce the overbreeding of animals and this will not help those that needed more help in animal shelters. Thank you for reading and i hope it will create an awareness for everyone. Share this with your family and friends too. Let's make a difference ! Maybe everyone will not agree with me but that's alright. Everyone is different.
