Royal Winton first produced its unique flower-handled range of earthenware in the 1950s, which includes designs of rosebud, petunia and our favourite, the tiger lily (also called the honey lily). We love that this tiger lily compote / footed cake plate isn't a conventional beauty. The lilies are hand-coloured on embossed/ raised patterns and the colours resemble that of a water colour painting! It is a piece of art to be admired and cherished. It has light crazing, common in Royal Winton pottery. No chips or cracks, colours are vivid and beautiful. Approximate measurement: plate surface 24.5 x 23.5 cm, 6cm height.
